After sitting empty for several years, St. Patrick’s Church was
identified as a potential centennial project by the staff and students
of Xavier College in Sydney. Recognizing the historic potential
of the building, the Old Sydney Society formed in 1966 to begin
restoration work. The St. Patrick’s Church restoration was the first
major project completed by the Society.
